A year from now, America will serve Tom Turkey for Thanksgiving, with Roger Rabbit on the menu for the next day, Black Friday 2013.
In an exclusive Beyond the Book interview, Celina Summers, editorial director at digital start-up Musa Publishing, announces the November 2013 publication of Who Wacked Roger Rabbit, the third in Gary K. Wolf’s famous series of novels about Toontown, and the first Roger Rabbit original since 1991.
Musa Publishing began as an answer to a series of questions, as posed by a team of digital publishing professionals. Why were publishers keeping authors in the dark about how publishing works? What was the big secret about royalties? Why couldn’t writers have input on their cover art? Why did all those e-books look like Word document files with a cover slapped on them instead of like real books? Out of that desire for transparency came a publishing house.
Celina Summers has been involved in e-publishing as an author, editor, review coordinator, senior editor, and managing editor for over a decade. First published in high school and now the award-winning author of sixteen novellas and novels, she left her career in professional theatre in 2000 to return to her first love, writing and publishing. As the driving force behind Aurora Regency, an imprint of Musa Publishing that publishes traditional Regency romance, she produced over forty historical novels in the year before coming to launch Musa Publishing.

wow..what an acheivement…who really cares. it was 20 years ago..try something new ffs
Fritz some of us liked the movie and would love to see this one adapted into a new movie. And it IS something new, idiot.
awesome Roger rules
Great News about a 3rd Roger Rabbit book! But a 2nd movie? How can you top perfect casting when many of the original voice artists (from the 1st movie) are no longer with us?
Got to wait few more months with the new Roger Rabbit book. Still it’s great news. Yeah…
I hope they make a movie out of it. I loved the film from the 80s and thinking about the advances in technology, a new one would be well worth seeing!
Because todays society is incapable of coming up with anything new they have to milk old classics, pack it with technology and sell it as their own idea, I loved the 80s Roger Rabbit so why would I want to see a digital version of the basically the same story, it is iconic for a reason!
Success will be defined in two words: JESSICA RABBIT
