Victor Perlman, General Counsel, American Society of Media Photographers told CCC’s Chris Kenneally, “I despise the phrase ‘orphan works.’ It has the connotation of something that is a second-class citizen and isn’t cared for. In fact, what we’re talking about is either unattributed or unlocatable copyright owners.”
