As the third annual Digital Book World Conference prepares to open in New York City on January 23, Digital Book World organizer Mike Shatzkin, founder and CEO of the Idea Logical Company, tells CCC’s Chris Kenneally that attendees should expect news and insights linked to the very latest industry data. Among the highlights, says Shatzkin, are “eBooks for Everyone Else,” a series of sessions addressing the needs of independent and small publishers, as well as, “the Future for Print Books in Public Libraries” with Miriam Tuliao of the New York Public Library.
Forrester Research’s James McQuivey opens the conference with his report on a specially commissioned survey that finds publishing industry executives facing the digital future with growing concern.
