Does the Copyright Royalty and Distribution Reform Act of 2004 sufficiently meet the demands of the digital age? This morning on Capitol Hill, New York Newsday Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Ellis Henican moderated a lively discussion that addressed this question, and many other critical legislative and regulatory issues. The Copyright Clearance Center-sponsored event wondered out loud whether government policies are properly managing rights distribution and ownership of created works for the greatest benefit for the American economy.
