The COVID-19 pandemic is impacting every aspect of our lives while rewriting the rules for business, academia, engineering, publishing and the media.
On May 5, 2020, Copyright Clearance Center hosted a virtual town hall for publishers around the world. Thinking Beyond the Crisis: Building Digital Resiliency, a Publisher Town Hall detailed the exceptional work publishers already done to make the shift seamlessly to an exclusively digital environment.
Panelists also described how many organizations are seeing beyond the coronavirus crisis to identify opportunities, leverage new technologies, and ultimately create and embrace a transformed digital industry.
Joining CCC’s Carl Robinson and Chris Kenneally were –
- Tatiana Khayrullina, Director & Lead Analyst for Scientific and Technical Solutions at Outsell, Inc., which covers the data and information industry;
- Colin Lovrinovic, founder of Gould Finch, a digital consultancy based in Hamburg, Germany, who has worked with clients from the international publishing industry on projects including strategy, innovation and implementation of new technology – especially in AI; and
- Ritu Dhand, Vice President, Editorial, for Nature Journals at Springer Nature. Before joining Nature in 1999, Dhand spent over ten years in cancer research, completing her PhD at University College London.
