London Book Fair welcomed thousands to Olympia Hall this week.
“The Americans were back in force, including executives that in the years just after the pandemic either didn’t come or came for only a short visit the past few years,” reports Andrew Albanese, Publishers Weekly executive editor.
“Publishers and agents told us the rights center was jam-packed, with plenty of business being done. London Book Fair organizers have successfully expanded who comes the show, bringing in what they called ‘book adjacent industries,’ such as film, television, and tech,” he tells CCC’s Chris Kenneally.
Every Friday, CCC’s “Velocity of Content” features the editors and reporters of Publishers Weekly for an early look at what news publishers, editors, authors, agents, and librarians will be talking about when they return to work on Monday.
