CCC and PW are marking today the Tenth Anniversary of our weekly conversation together.

Andrew AlbaneseRecorded on LinkedIn Live, this week’s show celebrates ten years of CCC podcasts with Publishers Weekly.

PW senior writer Andrew Albanese looks back with CCC’s Chris Kenneally on a decade of publishing, technology, copyright & more.

“We’ve talked about hundreds of stories and issues over a decade of podcasts, but one of the things that has always stood out to me are the court battles,” Kenneally notes. “It has been a litigious decade for the publishing industry.”

For sure, I’ve spent a lot of time in courtrooms, and I think it’s fair to say that most of the litigation we’ve seen over the last decade has involved the digital transition,” Albanese says. “The two cases I’d point to—and for which I was in the courtroom—are of course, the Google Books case and the Apple e-books price-fixing case from 2012.”

Every Friday, CCC’s “Velocity of Content” speaks with the editors and reporters of “Publishers Weekly” for an early look at the news that publishers, editors, authors, agents and librarians will be talking about when they return to work on Monday.
